USING GRACE SPACES
Lead the choir and celebrant by carrying the cross and assist in the service
Prepare lunch for the Annual Parish Meeting,
Help direct parking into the designated parking area.
Help with various tasks related to the cemetery and honoring those buried there.
Choir members sing during the 11 am weekly service, and for occasional special services.
Bake or bring refreshments for coffee hours
Work a shift at a farm or on the church grounds during the Farm Tour
Help keep the church grounds groomed and attractive
Lay Eucharistic Ministers visit members of the congregation unable to be present in church.
Read lessons and Prayers of the People for the appointed Sunday
Help our nursery staff with little ones from birth to 3 years of age.
Keep the playground area clean and safe for play
Help to organize and host potluck dinners sponsored by the church
Help organize speakers for Salon events, or prepare refreshments
Pack backpacks with food to support families in need
Greet churchgoers, hand out bulletins, and assist with seating,
Prepare the altar for weekly and special services.
Kitchen help during the Blessing of the Hounds service.
Perform simple repairs and maintenance within the church buildings. Handyman skills welcomed!
The chalicist assists the clergy in the administration of the Eucharist
Prepare plastic eggs for the children's egg hunt.
Help with social events sponsored by the church
Help organize and "perform" at the Hogwarts Halloween event in October
A lay reader may lead Morning Prayer at Grace Church or All Saints Chapel.
Shelve books, prepare materials for the collection, and help borrowers find materials
Help out in the church office
Volunteers work with Rector and Parishioner Care Committee chair to offer support to parishioners in need.
Help clear and maintain trails and labyrinth
Help prepare meals for the Salvation Army program in Charlottesville
Volunteers assist by helping pass out materials or with the crafts.
