The Play & Learning Space at Grace
What we began with...
In 2017 we began revisioning our former playground into a place where children could play, parents could gather and visit, and everyone could have a space to breathe, relax and connect.
In this space fellowship and learning could be accessed by all, in an inviting and creative way.

We already had a lovely playhouse that needed repair but we needed need play equipment that would provide not just a place for our parishioners to bring their families but also a place that the community would feel welcome to bring their children.

How we developed...
With much guidance from professional landscape architects and playground specialists, we had an overall plan which was put on hold due to COvid in 2020.

As a result of Covid and the inablility to worship in person at Grace, the need for space and places to be on the grounds of Grace became even clearer. Having outdoor spaces in which people could connect and experience the holiness of nature and the presence of God resulted in the Re-Creation Space Project which included the former work on the PALS space.

In 2024 Re-Creation Space was presented to the Vestry and Parish and was fully embraced by the Parish.
Our result...
In 2025 we completed the installation of the all of our play equipment as well as adding two picnic tables and temporary signage.
We plan on installing trash and more permanent signs as well as native plantings to the area in the coming year.
We hope the Keswick community will be able to enjoy the space as well as the Grace parish family.
