Subject Celebrating and Honoring Father G. Miles Smith’s Ministry

Dear Parishioners of Grace Episcopal, Keswick
As we prepare to celebrate the retirement of our beloved Rector, Miles, we want to express our deep gratitude for 13 years of faithful ministry, spiritual leadership, pastoral care in our parish.
Throughout his time among us, Father Miles has guided us in worship, celebrated our joys, comforted us in times of sorrow, and helped strengthen our parish community through his dedication and Faith.  His ministry has touched the lives of countless individuals and families, and we are deeply grateful for all he has given to our church.
In Episcopal tradition, it is customary to present a departing priest with a “retirement purse” --- a monetary gift from the congregation to assist them as they transition into this next chapter of life.  If you would like to contribute to Miles’ retirement purse, please follow these instructions:

         or

By Check:  Make checks payable to “Grace Retirement Purse” with “Retirement Purse” written clearly in the memo line.  You can place these in the collection plate in a sealed envelope marked “Attn: Treasurer” or mail them to the parish office.

To ensure we can present the final gift at the retirement reception on Sunday, November 22, 2026, please submit all contributions by Sunday, November 1, 2026. Please note that individual gift amounts will remain strictly confidential.  Gifts to the Rector Retirement fund are personal gifts to Father Miles and are not tax deductible as charitable contributions.

Thank you for helping us celebrate Father Miles and express our gratitude for his years of ministry among us.
Faithfully,
